I'm having this issue of getting auto mic gain control in meet a lot and haven't found any solution for a while but this extension worked surprisingly well for me. Now my mic gain is not adjusting automatically. Thank you Joey Watts.

Since google is removing the ability for this to work, I looked for and found another way to stop gain control: chrome://flags/#enable-webrtc-allow-input-volume-adjustment simply disable the chrome feature. however this flag is experimental and may not be permanent

Didnt help. Volume in Windows 11 still dropping. I have been searching for years.

Brilliant! However, we now see a message "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." Is this being looked at and fixed?

Thanks!!! The unannounced auto gain feature of Chrome was driving me crazy causing my headset mic to pick up nearby conversation. If you want to disable the "feature" permanently on Chrome: type on the url: "chrome://flags/" (without quotes) Goto > "Allow WebRTC to adjust the input volume" = DISABLE (set to disable)

Working! Microphone volume is now stable. It no longer decreases by itself during Google Meet. A big THANK YOU to the developer for sharing this extension!

Fixed my problem with my Jabra Elite headphones muting for no reason in Google Meet. Awesome!!

The functionality of the plugin is working fine but it is taking control of google and manipulating the google results!

The fact that this extension is needed shows that this gain control isn't a feature, its a bug, chrome should remove this But the extension is great! Sad that i need to authorize on every website i use (would be great to have it enable on all websites by default), but since its not every website that i use Mic it's ok

Better avoid it, it prevented me to enter MS Teams call and I was 15 minutes late until I figured out to disable it, it does more harm than good.

Helps me with Preply.com I wish it was also available for Edge
